Delete your account
It is your data. Here is how to get rid of it, and exactly what that does.
How to delete
Sign in and open your profile. The delete button is at the bottom of the Account tab. You will be asked to type a word to confirm, and then it happens immediately.
No retention period, no cooling-off window, and nobody will try to talk you out of it. Every session ends at the same moment, including the iOS app.
If you cannot sign in — a lost password on an address you no longer have, say — email support@pursly.app from the address you signed up with and a person will do it. That route is slower, so allow a few days.
What is removed
- Your transactions — every expense and income, with their notes, tags and attachments
- Your categories, budgets, trip budgets and saved budget history
- Your goals and everything saved toward them
- Your AI assistant conversations
- Your Gmail connection and its sync state
- Your streaks and achievements
- Your notification settings and registered devices
- Your sign-in details — password, connected Apple or Google accounts, and every active session
What is not removed
A shared space you created outlives your account. Your membership goes, but the space and everything in it stays for the people you invited — deleting yourself should not delete a household's budget out from under them. If you want the space gone too, delete it in the app first, or say so in your email.
Your Pursly Lifetime purchase is not refunded or erased. It lives on your Apple ID, not in your Pursly account, so it survives deletion and can be restored if you ever come back. Refunds are Apple's to give, not ours.
Anonymised usage counts that are no longer connected to you remain in aggregate figures. There is nothing in them that points back to a person.
Before you go
Deletion is final, so take your data with you first — you can export your transactions as a PDF from the app at any time.
