Insights, and Sign in with Google

v1.5.0 · Aug 14, 2026

  • Insights

Pursly now tells you what actually changed about your money, instead of leaving you to spot it.

    • A category that jumped, or one that fell
    • A budget running ahead of its own month
    • One charge that took over the period
    • A real shift in how much you keep

At most five findings, ranked by what matters. If nothing moved enough to be worth saying, it tells you that too.

  • Just say the period

No date picker needed. Ask for "insights for august" or "august 10 to august 14" and Pursly works out the dates, then shows you which period it read so nothing is guessed behind your back.

  • Ask the assistant how you are doing

The chat assistant can now answer the open questions — "how am I doing this month?", "anything unusual?" — with the same findings. It can also see your subscriptions and trip budgets, and set up a new category when you ask.

  • Sign in with Google

Get in with your Google account — no new password to invent or remember. It signs you into the same Pursly account you already have, however you first joined.

  • The app stopped rate-limiting itself

A limit meant for file uploads was being applied to every screen, so ordinary use could hit "too many requests" after a handful of taps. Every part of the app now has twelve times the headroom it did.

  • See who added what in a shared space

Shared transactions, budgets, goals and categories now carry who added them, so a space can tell at a glance which member logged what.

Trip budgets and tags

v1.4.0 · Aug 2, 2026

  • Trip budgets

A fixed cap over a fixed set of days, scoped to one tag — for a holiday, a wedding, a move.

    • Set an amount and a date range
    • Tag what counts toward it as you spend
    • Watch what is left, live

Separate from monthly budgets on purpose: a trip does not renew.

  • Filter by tag, everywhere

Expenses and income can both be filtered by tag, so a trip, a project or a reimbursement is one tap away.

  • Every budget in one place

A dedicated Budgets page on the web app, covering both recurring monthly caps and trip budgets, with how much of each period you have used.

  • See what the widgets can do

A showcase screen in Settings walks through every Home Screen and Lock Screen widget, so they are findable rather than folklore.

  • Budget status now reflects your actual budget

A category could be reported as under budget when it had no budget set. It is now judged against real budgets only.

Exports and a new look

v1.3.0 · Jul 30, 2026

  • Export your transactions as a PDF

Pick a range and get a clean, shareable statement — for reimbursements, an accountant, or your own records.

  • A redesigned start, and a tour of what is here

New onboarding, a feature walkthrough, smoother navigation animations, and a share button on goals.

  • A sidebar that gets out of the way

The web app moved from a top nav to a collapsible sidebar, so wide screens spend their pixels on your data.

  • Logos and avatars for your spaces

Upload an image for a shared space, and see who is in it at a glance.

  • Signing up twice no longer strands you

Registering again with an email that was never verified now resumes that signup instead of dead-ending on "account already exists".

Pursly Lifetime and smarter goals

v1.2.0 · Jul 26, 2026

  • Pursly Lifetime

One payment, yours for good. No subscription, no renewal date to forget.

Unlocks shared spaces and the AI assistant across every device you sign in on.

  • Goals now show what you are saving for

Paste a link to something you want and Pursly pulls in the title, image and site automatically, so a goal looks like the thing rather than a URL.

  • Sort goals into categories

Travel, tech, home, and the rest — group a long wishlist into something you can actually read.

  • Budget history, streaks and a friendlier start

See how past months actually went, keep a logging streak, and start with a rebuilt onboarding. The streak no longer double-counts a day when you add two expenses at once.

Shared spaces

v1.1.0 · Jul 22, 2026

  • Track money together

Create a space, invite people by email, and everyone works from the same transactions, budgets and goals.

    • Invitations arrive by email and expire on their own
    • Roles decide who can edit and who can only look
    • Your personal finances stay personal — a space is separate
  • Give each space its own look

Pick an emoji or an SF Symbol and a colour for every space, so Home and Trips are one glance apart in the switcher.

  • Today's spending on your Lock Screen

A Live Activity and a lock-screen widget showing what you have spent today, without opening the app.

  • Sign in with Apple, or with no password at all

Sign in with Apple, or get a one-time code by email. Verification, password reset and password change all use the same flow.

Pursly for iPhone

v1.0.0 · Jul 20, 2026

  • Ask about your money in plain English

The AI assistant answers questions about your spending and logs expenses from a sentence. Your conversation is kept, so you can pick a thread back up — and undo a delete if you change your mind.

  • Add an expense without opening the app

Siri quick-add and a Home Screen widget, for the moment right after you pay rather than the evening you remember.

  • Connect Gmail and stop typing receipts

Pursly reads purchase confirmations from your inbox and turns them into transactions.

    • Sync status is always visible
    • Sync Now when you do not want to wait
    • Notifications when something needs you
  • Budgets, tags and goals

Set monthly caps per category, tag anything for later, and save toward things you actually want. Attach a photo or a PDF receipt to any expense.
